Audi office building H6, Ingolstadt

Concentrated know-how

The planned new building with 3 to 5 floors in offset frame construction that includes several internal courtyards will in future house several research and development sectors, administration, staff canteen and a public cafeteria of Audi AG under one roof. The façade design of external façades and internal courtyards with an area of approximately 36,400 m² and consists of floor-height metal-glass elements as well as double storey-height mullion-transom structures for the catering facilities, several window designs, ventilated façades and cladding. Unforced ventilation is achieved by pivot windows that are in certain areas fitted with external impact panels due to external noise levels. A major challenge for Dobler Metallbau is the extremely short lead time, requiring commencing installation only 15 weeks after placing of the order as well as the tight scheduling across two construction stages. The initial pressure on our project team and engineering department that had to ensure early start of fabrication was significant.

Works:

Approx. 24,600 m² unitised façade, approx. 3,100 liner meters spoiler cladding, approx. 2,200 m² parapet cladding, approx. 1,450 m² under view cladding, approx. 3,700 m² mullion-transom façade, approx. 1,300 m² window structure.
